The costs are reimbursed by your health insurer if you have a referral from your GP. For 2025, contracts have been concluded with the Dutch health insurers listed below. In the case of a contract, the invoice for the treatment goes directly to your health insurer. You will be notified of this by your health insurer. For treatments in the specialist mental health care sector a financial contribution applies which is called the 'eigen risico'. In 2025, this amounts to 385 euros. If you are prescribed medication during the treatment, you may have to pay part of it yourself. This 'eigen bijdrage' is a maximum of 250 euros per year. The contracts with the health insurers include a turnover ceiling. If this turnover ceiling is reached, you can no longer register this calendar year.
