Step 1: Referral
For intake and treatment, you need a referral from your general practitioner for specialized mental healthcare. The general practitioner can send the referral via Zorgdomein. The referral must be received before your first appointment. Referrals for basic mental healthcare are not possible. Please note: If you are insured by VGZ, CZ, or ONVZ, then no contract has been concluded and you can only register if these health insurers have approved after waiting list mediation.

Step 2: Intake
The intake can take place in person of through a videocall. The appointment takes 45 minutes. You can make an appointment on the page Appointments and Waiting Times . You can tell your story in more detail about the origin, development, and impact of your concerns. You can do this using the intake form. Please fill out the intake form prior to the intake. You can use your preferred pdf-editor, if you do not have a pdf-editor, please consider the free to use Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can send the intake form as a reply to a secure email received from the practice after making an appointment. During the first interview we will discuss your needs and schedule more intake appointments if needed. Please have your ID (passport, driver's license, or identity card) handy. It is mandatory to record your BSN in the electronic health record. In principle, no treatment advice is given during the intake, this follows after the intake is complete.

Step 3: Treatment Plan

If together we decide to start medication, then we will also need to monitor its effects and side effects. In some cases, this may also be done via your general practitioner. In addition, we will develop a plan for its use and eventual discontinuation. If we agree to start psychotherapy, we will discuss together when the sessions will take place. This can range from twice a week to once a month, depending on your needs. This may also involve medication. In some cases, you may be referred to a different therapist with a specific expertise that best suits your requirements. Please also feel free to schedule a check-in appointment to discuss whether any previously made diagnosis (here or elsewhere) remains accurate.
